Our Founder & Her Hair Journey

Khaliah Kelly

Heyy Lovelies!

Im Khaliah Kelly, proud natural curly girl of 9 years, biologist of 7 years, a multi-entrepreneur, and new mommy!

SOOOOO let’s get into it! I haven’t always been natural, my mom gave me a relaxer at around 10 years old and I kept getting them until around 2015. That’s almost 10 years! Once I started transitioning, I was over the short hair stage because I’ve ALWAYS had long hair. Even l it was relaxed, it was long. It just wasn’t as healthy as I wanted it to be. Battled heat damage, issues with length retention, split ends, breakage, the Works!!!! It was so annoying, I couldn’t find a real regime that helped the health of my hair.

My mom and I began researching different hair growth remedies, we tried them all. From raw garlic oil to the scalp, to daily biotin, to different kitchen concoctions to try to maintain our hairs health. This is where I used my biology brain to construct an analysis on everything we tried and what benefits weighed from it. My mom and I have different hair types & scalp types (she has psoriasis, I do not), so for the hair growth oil recipe I pinpointed which herbs and oils showed improved hair health for the both of us!

Over the years, I’ve always gotten questions on how I maintain my hair. I hear that a lot of black women aren’t confident enough to wear and embrace their natural hair and I feel like it’s the era to bring that natural hair look back. I want to teach women the ins and outs of how to keep up with their hair, what porosity means, and different curl training methods.

Soon this brand will grow into a community that holds each other accountable for taking care of our hair as we would anything else! Empower us, Learn the confidence in being natural & Embrace our own hair for its individuality.

I hope this helps you trust me and get to know me a little better! Please don’t hesitate to reach out for any questions!

-your Follicle Fairy,

Khaliah <3
